Chic is a beautiful chestnut rabicano mare. 

​Her sire, Dox Best Silver, is a son of Peppy San Badger and was bred by Oxbow Ranch in Texas.  Due to an injury, his riding carrier was cut short but he has OE of over $17,000.  ​Her dam is a daughter of Smart Chic Olena out of a daughter of Mr Boggie Jac.​  She has a great set of papers that include champions and producers such as Peppy San Badger, Smart Chic Olena, Mr San Peppy, Sugar Badger, Doc Bar, Smart Little Lena and Mr Boggie Jac.

We purchased Chic a few years ago to use as a broodmare and occasional riding horse.  Unfortunately, due to no fault of her own, she's been a pasture ornament for the last while so we have decided to offer her for sale.  She's too nice of a mare not to be used, whether for riding or as a broodmare (she has had one foal).

She is well broke to ride, great under saddle and was used for team penning by her previous owner.  She is an all around wonderful mare to work with.  She's easy to catch, ties, great to saddle/bridle, good with her feet, has very good manners and is an easy keeper.  She stands around 15hh with a solid build, good bone and feet.

We lightly rode her when she first came home and she was great under saddle.  She has sat for almost two years and we just restarted her this month (June) and she was amazing!  No funny business, she just did what she was asked.  Her riding will continue until sold and we will be exposing her to cattle again shortly.  Her price will increase as her miles and exposure continue.  ​

At this time, we would recommend Chic for an intermediate/experienced rider due to her time off.

Chic is registered with the AQHA however, her papers were lost and didn't come with her when we purchased her.  We have been in contact with her breeder (they are still registered as the current owner as previous owners didn't care about papers) and we have the paperwork needed, including a signed transfer to get her registration papers.  She is being sold as is but everything should be in order to get a new copy of her papers.
