Chic is a beautiful rabicano mare. She is broke to ride, is great under saddle and has been used for penning.
Her sire, Dox Best Silver (a son of Peppy San Badger), was bred by Oxbow Ranch in Texas and has OE of over $17,000.
Her dam is a daughter of Smart Chic Olena out of a daughter of Mr Boggie Jac.
Her papers are packed with champions and producers such as Peppy San Badger, Smart Chic Olena, Mr San Peppy, Sugar Badger, Doc Bar, Smart Little Lena and Mr Boggie Jac just to name a few.
Chic was bred to our stallion Dex and has been confirmed in foal. This foal should make an amazing reining, reined cow horse, ranch or rope prospect!
Dex was injured as a two year old (fractured coffin bone) so his training under saddle was delayed. He is now healed and doing amazing under saddle.
He had a few months of reining training in 2020 as well as exposure to the flag and cattle. He is now learning his way around a rope and recently attended a series of Ranch Versatility clinics where he used his reining, was exposed to buffalo, the flag, roping and trail.
With his previous injury, we have decided against a heavy show career to help ensure he stays sound, but he will be used and proven under saddle in other ways.
